Confused Americans for Truth - Is Kerry a Liar or Something Higher?

by Ferdinand T Cat

It's all over the place today: It Is What It Is, Captain's Quarters, Michelle Malkin, Vulture's Row, and Redstate.org. Apparently, John Kerry's meeting with the U.N. Security council members in October of 2002 never happened.

The thing is, I don't think this really qualifies as a lie.

First off, we can't be sure that the meeting didn't happen until we've asked the Vietnamese Government. This is how Ted Koppel discovered the truth about Kerry's silver star, and I see no reason why it shouldn't work for this issue, too.

More important, we know that Kerry firmly believes that he can sway the other nations of the world to America's cause. So, even if the meeting didn't happen, if it had happened, it would have turned out the way Kerry said.

I'd like to think that Kerry was telling the truth about the U.N. meeting, even if it didn't happen. Once we accept the possibility that we can change the past to reflect what should have happened, we can apply the same logic to make the whole War on Terror go away. Let's face it folks: if there was on 9/11, then it really doesn't matter who wins the White House, and I can go back to what I really want to do, which is get my pet to feed me more mozzarella cheese between meals. I think that's a worthwhile goal.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat
