The Dimwit Zone - Soros, Moore Decry Unfair Bush Win

by Ferdinand T Cat

At a special press conference this afternoon, George Soros and Michael Moore called on sweeping legislation to change the way elections are conducted.

"We spent millions of dollars to defeat Bush and he still won," said Soros. "If you can't buy an election, what's the point of Campaign Finance Reform?"

Moore had his own theory. "There's no doubt that the Swift Boat Vets hurt Kerry a lot. I think the reason people believed the Swift Vets is that they essentially told the truth. To help level the playing field in 2008, I'm lobbying for new legislation that will make it illegal to tell the truth during a political campaign." Moore says he is already working on commercials in support of his proposal. The ads feature CBS anchorman Dan Rather, who has recently formed his own 527 organization: Journalists Against Truth.

Rather could not be reached for comment, but a spokesman says he is working on a memo.

Respecfully submitted,
