Confused Americans for Truth - The Lame Walk Anyway

by Ferdinand T Cat

Yahoo News has a story today with the screaming headline Paralyzed woman walks again after stem cell therapy. This is big news, and some liberals are already pointing to this as proof that Bush was wrong on stem cell therapy. Wizbang, on the other hand, notes that the stem cells came from cord blood, not from the cloned embryos.

The problem is that the headline is completely misleading. We all know that the only reliable way to cure spinal-injury paralysis is to vote for John Kerry. So, clearly, this woman is a U.S. citizen and must have voted for Kerry. The real news story, therefore, is that even if Kerry didn't win, just voting for him is enough to cure your paralysis.

This is a very important point. I have no trouble with people voting for Democrats just so long as we don't actually elect them.
