Confused Americans for Truth - Why the Progressive Blog Alliance Keeps Showing Up in "Funny Stuff"
Just imagine a world where...
- a single sentence contains a world of conspiracy.
- failure to return a phone call about an opponent's solution is proof you don't care about the problem.
- our society has evolved so much, that we don't have to worry that we might come up with the wrong economic policy.
- if you're nice to terrorists, they'll stop hating you.
- the only reason you keep losing is that your opponents always cheat.
Now, just imagine that the people who write about this world call themselves reality-based.
Respectfully submitted,

The scary part, for me, is that I had little difficulty thinking of examples for any of these pet idiocies. (I followed your links anyway... and was dumbfounded by what I saw. Carefully-crafted arguments, all of them, leading off into Never-Never Land.)
I sometimes ask myself: could I be wrong? If they spend so much time, arguing vehemently for a point of view I think is silly, isn't it possible that *I* am wrongheaded about the whole thing? And I generally reach the conclusion that, yes, it's certainly possible for me to be wrong... but not in this case.
I used to ask people: what would it take for you to change your mind? (For example, to decide that maybe Pres. Bush isn't evil or stupid after all, or that invading Iraq might actually have been the right thing to do.) On the left, I usually get the response that nothing will cause them to change their minds... which, to me, speaks volumes about just how closed-minded they are.
What a pity.
