I wonder how many other people carried around Hazlitt's "The Failure of the New Economics" religiously throughout highschool and college.

I admit to feeling a twinge of sympathy for Economics professors in the Seventies who had to teach that unemployment was inversely related to inflation while in the outside world they were both rising through the roof in tandem.
