The Human Element - Vote Yes to the Tax Increase on April 5

by Bruce the Human Pet

I would just like to ask everybody in Illinois High School District 211 to vote in favor of the school referendum on April 5.

There is some evidence that the tax increase is unnecessary. Bruno Behrend of Extreme Wisdom makes that point in this article.

However, this referendum is not about truth and responsibility, it's about education. If we don't vote for the tax increase, the school administration will cut the number of classes per day and it will be impossible to graduate without a heavy investment in summer school.

So please vote YES on April 5. It's all very well for someone like Ferdy to talk about principles and making government accountable, but I'm just a regular guy and for regular guys giving in to blackmail is a survival trait.
