Catblogging - Protecting Homework

by Ferdinand T Cat

The blue backpack belongs to the girl who feeds me. Now, I know many of you are thinking that I'm sleeping on top of it because it's soft and it smells nice. In fact, I'm performing a very important function. As you are aware, one of the most common excuses for failing to get work done on time is "The dog ate my homework." By positioning myself here, I am insuring that no dogs can get to the girl's homework. The girl is currently pulling down a 4.0 grade point average for the year, and my vigilance is a very big part of that.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat

I think you're interpreting this incorrectly. What this cat is doing is marking the owner of the briefcase so that all other cat owners, seeing the amount of cat hair all over it, will easily know that she is a member of the "I am owned by cats" tribe.

This picture demonstrates not only Ferdinand's loyalty and thoughtfulness, but also shows off his gorgeous coat to best advantage. How I wish I could skritch him! I'm so glad there's a recording of his purr that I can listen to.

I don't know...Remington sits on my books, laptop, work bag, etc., but I think his intention is to get me to ignore that stuff and play with him more. :)
