The Human Element - A Chilling Reminder

While sorting old magazines for recycling, I came across the May issue of Reason Magazine. On the back cover is ad for the Institute for Justice. It contains picture of a father and son standing in front of their rather ordinary house. The ad text is as follows.

My city government wants to condemn my family's home.

They want to bulldoze our neighborhood, not for public use, but for private economic development.

We are fighting for our rights.

And we took our fight to the U.S. Supreme Court.

WE ARE IJ.

At the bottom of the photo is the name of the town in question: New London, Connecticut.
