Undo the Damage! - Killing Two Birds with One Supreme Court Nomination

by Tallulah Interloper

I just had a terrific idea for the upcoming Supreme Court nomination. The Democratic leadership in the Senate has argued very hard that Bush needs to consult Democrats if he wants a nominee that won't be filibustered. So I was thinking, Democrats are not the only people that the Bush Administration needs to please. He also needs to please Islamic terrorists who were offended by the way we've been treating detainees. So, obviously Bush should consult with the major terrorist organizations and let them make suggestions for whom to place on the Supreme Court! I mean, one of the big issues facing the Court next year is the treatment of the prisoners at Guantanamo, so terrorists have an important stake in this nomination. If we ask their opinion, they'll realize we care about their feelings and they'll be a lot less likely to attack us again.

Remember, it's too late to win the election, but it's never too late to Undo the Damage!

To make my message more interesting to young African-American people, I used the web page at http://www.atlantaga.com/ebonics.htm to translate the above article into Ebonics.
