Point Well Taken - 08/02/05: Bush's Brain
To understand the ferocity of the campaign to get rid of Karl Rove, you must first remember that liberals frequently refer to Rove as Bush's Brain.
Liberals hope that without his brain, Bush will start behaving like a Democrat.
Respectfully submitted,

I wouldn't go nearly as far as he would begin acting like a democrat. It is extremely egocentric to believe Bush is so dumb as to not be capable of being an intelligent man behind the scenes. From what I've read on George Bush, he is probably the most underestimated president in modern history because of how he comes off in front of the cameras--a position he's never really been comfortable with. As an orator, he is really inept, but on a one-on-one basis he's really tough to beat (just as some of the Congressmen and Senators who have gone to his office for support on a bill). In terms of his political leanings, without Karl Rove he would be more like the Texas governor who was supposed to be "compassionate" and less like this hard-lining president we've all come to know and love. I really dislike Rove and would prefer that Texas governor as President, but his brilliance cannot be denied.
