Catblogging - A Monumental Dilemma

by Ferdinand T Cat

Ferdy being franticEvery now and then, you encounter a dilemma that even a superior brain cannot unravel. Here's mine: the Girl Who Feeds Me is trying to teach me to beg. On one side is the fact that this is The Girl, whose good opinion is very important to me. On the other side is the fact that I'm a cat, and cats don't beg, EVER. So, even though normally I'm completely fearless, here you see me in a defensive position, ready to repel a threat in any direction.

I really do hate problems that can't be solved by pouncing.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat

hmmmm, maybe you could beg only part of the time, you know, just when you feel like it. that's still very catty. it's what mine do.

Hi Ferdy-- It depends on what she wants you to beg for. I'd hold out for human-quality tuna or salmon at the very least-- maybe even yellowfin sushi if there's a good Japanese restaurant nearby.

Yes, well, this can be confusing. However, though this girl would LIKE for you to beg, she NEEDS you to eat, so, therefore, regardless of whether or not you beg, she will continue to feed you no matter what. So, as you see, you still retain full power over the matter.

Oh Dear Ferdinand - not the B.E.G. word! Unless you act like a Cat, your Staff will never respect that superior Feline intellect!

Ferdy, just bop her on the head. It worked for Fisher with Kasha and fish sticks!

Ah, my own princess has been known to take a tumble off the bed and not quite make it over to land on her feet. And then she sits there as if to say she meant to do that.

Besides, it's not begging if SHE'S the one doing the pleading for you to eat.

Now, now...
Just do what any self-respecting cat would do, and fight fire with fire by going on an itsy-bitsy hungerstrike.
..oh, and (Be sure and look a little sad)

Frisky solves everything by curling up and sleeping.
