Adventures with Bruce - The Interloper Is Up to No Good Again
Long-time readers may remember that Bruce requires a CPAP machine while sleeping. The machine attaches via a long hose to a mask he wears on his face, and blows air down his nostrils so that he doesn't stop breathing. Bruce has an unusual variation of the standard sleep apnea disorder: if he's not wearing the machine there is a high probability he'll literally start choking to death.
Recently, my arch-nemesis The Interloper moved from the basement to the master bedroom. By a strange coincidence, the last two nights when Bruce went to bed he found that somebody had unplugged the machine.
Bruce thinks that one of the children is using the outlet for something else, but I think it's no coincidence that this didn't start happening until the Interloper took up residence in the bedroom. I believe she's hoping that on one of these nights he won't notice it's unplugged and end up getting so sick he has to go to the hospital. While he's gone, there will be no one to protect me when she goes on one of her rampages.
So, if both Bruce and I wind up in a coma, be sure to inform the Schaumburg police that it was probably the work of the orange cat with the deceptively sweet face.
I'm pretty sure that if she knows she'll be a prime suspect, she'll think twice before trying to get rid of us.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat

Oh that mean ol' Tellulah! (Hey, at least it's only unplugged and not chewed through. I need to replace my hoses due to a certain furry creature in our house getting feisty with them while I'm sleeping and turning over.)

Ahh, poor souls! Now that you have an idea who's doing the unthinkable deed of unplugging Bruce's life support, how about standing up to it and refusing the orange one entry?
Meanwhile, get your pet one of those CPAP humidifiers, if Bruce doesn't have one already. It would help prevent common complications of CPAP therapy using masks like nasal dryness, congestion and irritation.
