Notes from Ferdy - Trackback Festival
Occasionally, people ping our carnival trackback address with actual posts instead of carnival editions. The latest offender is SoCalPundit, who pinged with this post. Bruce likes being pinged, but we can't go on having to create a new article to link to the pinger each time we get a bad ping. So, I've decided to do one of those traffic jam posts like they have at Outside the Beltway and Basil's Blog. Instructions are below the fold.
If you want a link to your article to show up on our front page and the article in question is conservative and humorous enough to make Bruce laugh out loud, submit it here.
Otherwise, you can ping this post. We've done all the hard stuff for you. Simply copy the following text:
Trackposted to <href="http://www.conservativecat.com/mt/archives/2005/09/trackback_festi.html">Conservative Cat</a> http://www.conservativecat.com/Ferdy/.track.cgi/946
The first part goes at the bottom of your article, and the URL at the end goes in the article's trackback ping list. When you post the article, it will ping the correct address and you'll have a link back to us so that we know you're not a spammer.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat

So sorry! I did not mean to offend but am glad you will be doing a trafic jam-like post as a result.

| HTML is not allowed in comments; however, if you put in a raw URL (http://www.somewhere.com/page.html) it will automatically be converted to a link.. Also, it is likely your comment will not appear unless you refresh the page manually after posting it. |
