Notes from Ferdy - An Anomaly Explained
Our friend Mark T. of Cutting Edge of Ecstasy sent us this article about the adventures of Emily, a Wisconsin cat who stowed away on an airplane and ended up in France.
When things like this happen, it's common for people to wonder about the general intellectual superiority of cats. After all, what creature in its right mind would want to go to France?
Such speculation is simply more evidence of why humans will always be second-class thinkers. See, Emily was not looking for somebody to help her fight a war on terrorism. A cat's priorities are a little more immediate than that, and if there's one thing the French know how to do really well, it's cook.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat

A hundred years from now - no - make it ten years from now, when you say, "France", people will not immediately think, "Cowards who let us down." I wager nobody will think that. . . France is about so much more than petty politics. . . just like America is about so much more than our bonehead prez.
