Notes from Ferdy - Avian Flu
The Associated Press reports that Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt is concerned that avian flu may evolve into a strain capable of spreading from human to human and creating a global pandemic.
Given what I've seen with Bruce's struggle against ordinary seasonal flu, I'm convinced this would be a bad thing.
Therefore, if the God of Abraham is pondering a switch back from evolution to intelligent design, now would be a good time!
Respectfully submitted,

Well, Ferdy, weren't cats very intelligently designed to hunt birds? Maybe you could get together with some other kitties and track down infected birds-- at any rate it would get Laurence Simon's Nardo off his lizard fixation!

Every year there is something new that is (OMG) "going to kill us all!!! We're all going to die!!!"
Whenever I catch the doomsday fever, I make myself a tuna salad sandwhich, pour an iced tea and wait for the feeling to go away. Usually by the second bite.
