Confused Americans for Truth - Harriet Miers
I have remained mostly silent on the Harriet Miers nomination because, even though the Supreme Court is extremely important as a guardian of our freedoms, I think she would probably do a good job if confirmed, and there are other, equally-qualified candidates if she is not confirmed.
However, I cannot remain silent any longer. THIS represents a SERIOUS PROBLEM. Folks, we cannot afford to tear ourselves apart any longer. While we argue this nomination, liberals are planning to steal the country out from under us.
Consider this: Pakistan was hit by a devastating natural disaster over the weekend. Did the Progressive Blog Alliance try to blame the disaster on Bush's failure to endorse the Kyoto accords? Did Al-Qaida announce that it was a punishment from Allah for Pakistan's support of U.S. policy? Did the Huffington Post feature an article on how the American response was inadequate?
When sharks ignore blood in the water, it's a bad sign. We need to focus, and if confirming Harriet Miers TOMORROW is what it takes, let's do it!
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat

I think Republicans ought to grow some spines and realize what the hell they're doing.
Great post.

I'm thinking I should do an article about the multiple-ping problem. Bruce used to make the same mistake until he figured out what caused it. Basically, if the ping times out, it stays in your outbound ping queue even though the ping actually went through. You have to check the activity log, and if it says a ping timed out, you need to delete that ping and re-save. A pain in the neck to do, but it stops the pongs.

Movable Type has a feature by which it looks up the trackback on the URLs linked in a post and automatically pings. I liked this feature, right up until it wouldn't let me delete the pongs from the pong queue.
