Confused Americans for Truth - The Ethical Two-Step
I just want to make sure I understand the concept of ethics as it applies to politics. Although I am a superior life form, this doesn't mean my understanding of human behavior is perfect. In any case, as far as I can tell, here's the sequence of events that defines what's politically ethical.
- A Democrat does something that Republicans find objectionable.
- The Democrats argue successfully that it's really not a serious ethical lapse and doesn't matter.
- A Republican does something similar.
- The Democrats accuse the Republican of hypocrisy and demand he either resign or go to jail.
