Confused Americans for Truth - The Miers Appointment
Everybody else is analyzing the Harriet Miers nomination, analyzing the analysis of the Harriet Miers nomination, and analyzing the analysis of the people who are analyzing the analysis of the Harriet Miers nomiation.
It therefore seems to me that I do not have a lot to add.
I would, however, like all my conservative friends to remember this moment the next time someone tells you that we're just mind-numbed shills for the Republican party.
Respectfully submitted,

Excellent point. I personally am of the opinion that this is a very strategic appointment aimed and aiding the image and potential of the party in 2006 by making the opposition look bad if (when)they attempt to crucify this poor woman. Of course that's not necessarily what the base was hoping for with thier sights on what they could do in the judiciary. I'm not sure if that's short sighted or not. I believe Bush's issue is the long-term viability of the party and a trust in someone he knows well.
Or is it all just a feint? A sacrifical lamb for the opposition to tear apart and to justify a more conservitive nominee afterwards?
But what do I know? I'm a housecat. It'll all be diffrent when I rule the world.
