Ecosystem - IMPORTANT: Summary of Trackback Rules

For a complete discussion of ways to increase awareness of your blog, read this article. If you know about trackbacks and want to ping Conservative Cat, here are the rules.

  • If you have a post that is funny and either nonpartisan or conservative, ping the latest Funny Stuff article. You will find it at the bottom of this page. A link back to the article you're pinging is appreciated.
  • If you have a post about cats, ping this URI. You should also consider joining the Cat Lover blogroll.
  • If you have a carnival you hosted, ping this URI. This is not for carnival submissions, just carnivals themselves.
  • If you have a post that relates to the topic of a Conservative Cat article, ping that article. A link to the article you're pinging should appear in your article.
  • Otherwise, ping this URI. In this case, all you need is a link to Conservative Cat somewhere on your front page. Don't do this more than once a day, or it will become useless.

The idea here is that if the pings go to the right place, readers are more likely to find them useful and actually click through to read them.
