OK apparently my system went from not sending trackbacks to sending double trackbacks, strongly suggesting that I am either (a) an idiot or (b) a yak, and therefore incompetent with technology. I.T.Yak being out of the office at the moment, sorry for the double ping and thanks for the shout on Monday Funnies! We'll get this technology figured out eventually...

No need to worry. Bruce modified our version of Movable Type so that it sends duplicate pings to the junk folder.

The downside is that due to a glitch somewhere else that Bruce has not yet found, every ping sent by Adam's Blog is considered a duplicate. This proves my contention that everything is a double-edged sword.

Thanks for the link, I hope Ferdy is not mad at you for linking to that article.

My dad got trackbacks working, sort of. He turned off all the blacklist functions and now only denies on word matching and doesn't allow links. The IP and DNS blacklists kept blocking all our friends.
