Web Site News - Trackback Wars
Apparently Blue State Conservative, who founded the Open Trackback Providers, is upset about Samantha Burns' Open Trackback Alliance. There is some duplication of effort between the two organizations, but there are also differences, and as a free market conservative, I am strongly in favor of competition, even if it means Bruce will occasionally forget what he's doing and link to Stop the ACLU twice.
To show how much we believe in competition, we are starting our own Open Trackback blogroll, which we will call the Open Trackback Empire. To distinguish the Empire from the other two groups, we will restrict membership to blogs that don't exist. Bruce, who is an expert on formal logic, tells me that there are very few blogs that don't exist; however, he is sure that it is a real subset of the blogging community. In addition, both of the existing open trackback communities are heavy with right-leaning blogs. Here in Chicago, nonexistent voters come out heavily for the Democrats during election season, so we expect non-existent blogs to be mostly liberal. (I hope that puts to rest any of these silly beliefs that I'm not willing to be bipartisan.)
I would like to thank Samantha and Brian for their pioneering work in the area, and hope they will welcome me into their community with the reception I truly deserve.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat

Aw, no fair. I want to join your OTE, but alas, I am already in existence.
Would you sign up my alternative blog, though, called The "REAL"Blue State Conservative? ;-)

I would like to submit to the OTE 2 non existent blogs: The Conservative Kitty and The Crazy Rants of Samual Burns as well as a new blog I'm starting called: I should lighten up a bit. ;-)

I went over to "Blue State Conservative" and watched the fight that broke out between Brian and Mr. Big. Brian claims to be 6'9", yet Mr. Big of "Sam I Am" seemed to win wtih "we can resolve this like real men - over a drinking contest". REAL MEN? What A Crock! I guess that's what happens when a red blooded American tries to pick a fight with one of those peace-loving Canadians. I was expecting more of Brian, but then, he lives in a blue state, where dueling and other manifestations of manliness are probably outlawed. Bottoms Up!

How dare you steal my idea! I created a blog roll for non-existent sites holding trackback parties. It was my idea first! Its not my problem that the list exists only in an alternate universe as the Blog's don't exist.
I'll have you know that I had a lot more success than you did at getting members. You think you can get non-existent blogs to sign up by making a post announcing the formation of the Open Trackback Empire. Ha! The only way to get non-existent blogs to sign up is by not posting about it and not creating a link that's visible in this dimension.
Your rip off failed. Now I'm going to go over and see what Starkey Bob (http://www.starkeybob.com) and Bill the Weaver (http://www.billtheweaver.com) don't have to say about this.
