Notes from Ferdy - An Important Question About Church and Plasma Panel TVs

by Ferdinand T Cat

Okay, I can understand why Circuit City is listed as a church in the yellow pages, because Bruce treats his gadgets like sacred objects.

But why Lutheran?

Respectfully submitted,

Where do I start?

1. Just gimme that ol' time religion (by the way, does that come in a plasma screen?)

2. "Circuit City" is actually a typo. Should have read: "Church of the (Cable, TV & VCR) Light."

3. Sadly, Circuit City probably does have more visitors on a Sunday than most churches - and it's not because they have the Gospel channel on the demo sets.

Through a minor mistranslation, Martin Luther's belief that the faithful needed no mediators to the Source was rendered 'priesthood of believers.'

In reality, Luther had conceived of satellite broadcast, ie getting signals without needed a local station. The flock was intended to possess a 'priesthood of receivers,' ie, dish antennae.

Doesn't this violate the separation of church and solid state?
