The Dimwit Zone - Cheney Invites Dean on Hunting Trip

Earlier today, Republican activist Harry Whittington was injured while on a hunting trip with Vice President Dick Cheney; however, in a gesture clearly designed to make peace with a vocal opponent, Cheney has invited DNC chairman Howard Dean to take Whittington's place on Cheney's next trip.

"Howard and I clearly have our differences," said the Vice President, "but I think the two of us spending a day alone in the woods would go a long way toward bringing peace and harmony to the American political landscape."

Howard Dean has had a stormy tenure as the chairman of America's oldest political party, and even some Democrats have complained about his fractious style. Cheney says that a hunting trip with Dean would have bipartisan implications. "I know a lot of people are upset with the way things are going right now," Cheney told us, "but give me five hours alone with Howard Dean and a shotgun, and I think I can make both Republicans and Democrats happier."

Howard Dean's office has yet to comment on Cheney's proposal.

Yup, that's just what I was thinking and what one of my commenters said Cheney should use as an excuse, "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were Howie."

I know Cheney's gettin on in years, but is he really THAT bad a shot?
