Confused Americans for Truth - Iran and Israel Viewed from the Heights of Moral Relativism
The Interior Minister of Iran says that the following statement by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
They have invented a myth that Jews were massacred and place this above God, religions and the prophets.
has been misunderstood, and does not mean that the Holocaust didn't happen. I'm glad he cleared that up.
Ahmadinejad is actually pushing the idea that Germany should house the Jews, because Germany committed the crimes in World War II, not the Palestinians. But the Jews don't rule Israel because the British felt guilty about Hiltler: they rule because they took the territory by force of arms. If it's illegal to take over a country by force of arms, then Iran belongs to the descendants of the Shah and Castro has no business being in Cuba.
This idea that the Jews stole Palestine comes from a squishy liberal view of international law. If Iran wants to adopt squishy liberal views, then they should give women the right to vote. Otherwise, it would be easy to conclude their only interest is pulling the wool over the eyes of people who are criminally stupid.
So if we're going to talk about fairness, here's my proposal: freedom of religion in Iran in exchange for freedom of religion in Israel, and then the Palestinians live in whichever one they choose.
I am willing to be fair, but I am a superior life form and you can't ask me to also be stupid.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat
