Web Site News - A Rough Day to Be a Conservative Cat

by Ferdinand T Cat

A denial of service attack originating in Saudi Arabia took down Hosting Matters today, beginning roughly at 10am ET. The target was Aaron's CC, but our server is on the same section of the network as his, so even though most of the Hosting Matters blogs were back by early afternoon, we've been down until a few minutes ago.

It was rough for a while. Bruce is of course ecstatic that we're back with no data lost and doesn't care about anything else. Peg-Eye Nate is trying to convince our local congressman that we should declare war on Saudi Arabia. Me, I'm thinking we need to do database backups once a day instead of once a week.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat
