Catblogging - Searching for Children
Every so often, I discover another reason to be unhappy that Peg-Eye Nate has gone off to college. In the old days, the house was full of children, so when I wanted some attention it was always available. Now, however, with their childhood live-in best friend occupying in a college dorm downstate, the girls have found other friends who live in other houses, and they are forever talking on the phone, going on sleepovers, and other girlie stuff. So here I am, getting ready to settle into my favorite chair, and there's nobody around to give me a good skritching. It's a major nuisance.
Bruce says this is all temporary and Nate will be coming home for the whole summer in another month. It can't happen soon enough if you ask me.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat

Poor Ferdy, Rafe is the same way our college girl is "his" human and when she is home no-one else exists.
