Dog Bites Man - Meanwhile in Iraq
We just got our copy of the weekly newsletter of the U.S. Central Command. If, while watching the news this weekend, you get the impression that the end of the world is just around the corner, we recommend reading these stories.
- New Road offers Gateway to Optimism. For nearly three decades, the Panjshir Valley was a natural fortress against invasion and civil war. Thanks to a future filled with peace and hope, a road is being built that will connect it to markets in southern Afghanistan.
- Baghdad Fire Fighters Upgrade Capabilities. The first of eight new fire stations planned in Baghdad is now open for business.
- MND-B, Iraqi Government Clean Up Baghdad. A detachment of coalition soldiers in Baghdad is helping to keep the streets clean.
- MND-N Soldiers Provide Water to Iraqi Village. For the first time in its history, the town of Ash Shura gets fresh running water.
- 101st Medics Distribute Donated Wheelchairs to Iraqi Children. Army medics help 12 Iraqi children get used to new wheelechairs.

Thanks for the good news from Iraq and Afghanistan. You don't hear about it on CNN or other news stations that often if ever. I believe God has a hand in all of this and we will see a positive outcome.
