Confused Americans for Truth - Sense and Silliness in the Middle East

by Ferdinand T Cat

Hezbollah has just pulled off a staggering public relations coup. As long as Nasrallah survives, he is an Arab folk hero. Intelligence sources now believe Nasrallah is hiding in an Iranian embassy. It's the perfect hiding place. Israel must choose between being perceived as weak or committing an act of war against Iran. In the idiotic upside-down realm of public opinion, an act of war against Iran is a high crime while an act of war against Israel is justified.

That's the bad news. Here's the good news: a Shi'ite leader allied with the al-Badr organization has called for the disbanding of the militias.

The hopeful note, the story in which hate is being denounced instead of celebrated, is in Iraq.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat
