Blogging Hell - Perhaps Some Unintentional Trackback Irony

All trackback spam contains an excerpt. In a real trackback, the excerpt is taken from the article sending the trackback ping. In spam trackbacks, the excerpt is an attempt to fool you into thinking you're looking at a real trackback. This rarely works, because next to the excerpt is the name of the site sending the ping, and there is usually a disconnect. A recent example uses the following excerpt to appear vaguely relevant to what we do here.

If by a Liberal you mean someone who is looking ahead rather than falling behind

The web site that sent the ping sells breast enhancement surgery.
