Confused Americans for Truth - The Other Iraq is Not Happy with Arianna Huffington

by Ferdinand T Cat

We just received an EMAIL alert from Joe Wierzbicki, a publicist and former Republican operative currently working with the regional government of Kurdistan. Apparently, Arianna Huffington made some disparaging remarks about the Kurds on The O'Reilly Factor.

HUFFINGTON: The Kurdistan -- the position -- the position of the Kurds has not changed one iota since we invaded Iraq. What has changed is the position of Americans, who are less safe because we invaded Iraq.

O'REILLY: All right. I don't -- I disagree with you. I think Saddam persecuted the Kurds. I think they have a free -- and -- so what?

HUFFINGTON: So what? Our job is not to go there and save the Kurds. Our job to keep Americans safe.

O'REILLY: All right. OK. So what, the Kurds are free.

The Kurds have invited Arianna to visit them so she can see for herself how things have improved, but I feel it necessary to make an important point: if all areas of the Arab world were like Kurdistan, where they believe in democracy and love America, then you don't have to be a superior life form to conclude that America-- and in fact the entire world-- would be a whole lot safer.

Really, if this woman is going to continue to hold opinions different from mine, her credibility is going to suffer.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat
