Adventures with Bruce - When Homework Becomes Controversial

by Ferdinand T Cat

I have always felt that The Gremlin is highly intelligent. She proved me correct recently when she decided not to ask her father's help with a particular piece of homework. As a result, she avoided a rather strong negative reaction from her teachers. See, if she had asked Bruce to help, the poster she made might have looked like this.

Global warming is a problem because when the tectonic plates in the North Atlantic pull far enough apart to allow the Gulf Stream into the Arctic Ocean, the north polar ice cap will melt, flooding coastlines all over the world.

I can help by convincing Al Gore and all his friends to go down to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, grab the edge of the Eurasian Plate, and pull really hard.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat

Ah. Sorry. Ferdy had me add a ping for you as well.

Yep. It's a fine line between teaching your kids what you know is right, and allowing them to get good grades based on what their teachers think is right.

I remember many times in high school when my parents and I knew some of the crap public school taught me was wrong - but we all agreed to take the tests their way.

I'm just glad my kids are not even in kindegarten yet ;)

Great post, Ferdi! You deserve an extra treat today!
