Confused Americans for Truth - Okay, Enough is Enough
Okay, despite all my advice to the contrary, the American public elected Nancy Pelosi as the new leader of the Free World. (You may think I exaggerate, but over the next two years, compare Ms. Pelosi's face time in the mainstream media to the President's, and you'll see what I mean.)
According to Shankar Vedantam of the Washington Post, Republicans are not as upset as they thought they'd be by this point. Since Bruce is still a basket case, this would be the first time in my lifetime that my pet is being more sensible than the rest of you.
One thing, however, has not changed. As I have said numerous times, the key to protecting America from loony dictators is victory in Iraq. I believed that a Republican victory last week would prove to the terrorists that they can't win. This is no longer a possibility; however, we have an opportunity in Nancy Pelosi's America that we didn't in George W. Bush's: If we can win this war with spineless weasels in charge, then obviously there's no point in trying to break our morale.
All we need is a strategy.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat
