Confused Americans for Truth - An Important Point About Public Opinion Polls and Elections
Okay, I've tried to be upbeat for the past week, but the election is today and it's time for me to be realistic.
Even if Republicans do gain seats in both houses, the country is still at risk because there are too many people in Congress who make decisions without asking my advice. In fact, this whole stay-at-home protest thing would not even be an issue if all Republican politicians were required to read this blog. And why are they not reading this blog? Because the people who participate in public opinion polls don't know the correct way to answer questions.
It gets worse. Public opinion polls are getting more and more unreliable, and this casts doubt on the very core of our democratic process. If we continue on this course, our way of life is at risk.
So when you return from the polls tomorrow, do not think you have fully discharged your duty as a citizen. To insure that our country is protected in the long term, whenever you're asked your opinion on something, simply answer "I agree with Ferdy." The results of opinion polls will show the world that the majority of the American population is highly intelligent, and eventually the politicians will get the message and start putting our country back on the right track.
I think it would be a big win for everybody.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat
