The Human Element - A Christmas Poem from Barb Gigamaster
'Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring,
except for the louse.
The jerk was just sitting
in front of the telly,
burning his eyeballs
to green-colored jelly.
He wasted his dough
on just games this year
with nary a present
for anyone dear.
Then down through the chimney
came a big red delight;
'Twas Santa! (He's real?)
with toys for the night.
He saw the young man,
and scoffed in disgust.
"Coal for you!" he called
"Your PS3 can rust!"
The gamer looked up
and merely smiled.
"Would you like a go?"
and Santa was riled.
"Christmas is Giving!
Loving, and Caring!
Not for whiling away hours
playing not sharing!"
"But I do want to share,"
the young man explained.
"This game's for two
and this level's a pain."
So if you don't get any presents
this holiday year,
just know that Santa
is playing the new Metal Gear.
