Confused Americans for Truth - Good News About the Democrats and Their Plan for Iraq
As promised, I spent yesterday hiding under the bed. (Okay, technically it was behind a bunch of pillows on top of the bed, because my bed is an upper bunk, but the point is, if the Democrats decided they wanted to raise my taxes they would have had a really hard time finding me.)
Today, however, things are looking up, because the Democrats began implementation of their Iraq strategy, writing the following to President Bush in a letter:
Rather than deploy additional forces to Iraq, we believe the way forward is to begin the phased redeployment of our forces in the next four to six months, while shifting the principal mission of our forces there from combat to training, logistics, force protection and counter-terror.
Actually, if you read any news stories about specific events in Iraq or take a look at the U.S. Central Command web site, you would understand that training, logistics, force protection, and counter-terror is not only the principal mission, it's the entire thing. So, here's my plan on how Bush can give the Democrats exactly what they want and help make the world a better place. Find all the U.S. soldiers in Iraq who are not participating in training, logistics, force protection and counter-terror, then re-deploy both of them to guard Nancy Pelosi so they can keep her from raising my taxes. That way, the Democrats get what they want and I get what I want.
Really, this may not turn out as badly as I thought.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat

Unfortunately, Haloscan pings are always chancy, because of the built-in throttling. Thanks for the comment, however.
