Notes from Ferdy - A Huge Miscalculation by a New Web Site

by Ferdinand T Cat

A few days ago, I received an EMAIL from the people at OURCountry.com asking that I review their web site. Their description of the site is as follows:

Now in beta, OURcountry.com delivers nine irreverent channels of politically incorrect videos, outrageous games, and networking opportunities that appeal to South Park conservatives with the functionality of both MySpace and YouTube. Create online issue campaigns and upload video clips to build an army of friends and volunteers online. Some of the special video programming includes "Border Bloopers" and "Feed the Supermodels."

I'm sorry, people, but reviewing a web site takes a lot of time and effort, and I'm not some heroic canine dedicated to making the world a better place. I'm a cat. If you want a positive review you have to give me a bribe. It's not like I'm expecting a big bribe, either: I take food stamps!

So, if you're interested in making these OURCountry people happy, head on over and then tell your friends what you think. But if you're interested in my opinion, put $50 in small, unmarked bills into a brown envelope and slip it in between the left-hand front door and the screen.

Part of being a superior life form is having principles.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat

You are most correct, if you were an attorney no one would expect you to give advice without compensation.

Of course, if you were an attorney you would be too busy screwing someone out of money to offer blog suggestions.

I will always freely, gladly give help to bloggers I read, but there are too many strangers asking for help to allow for uncompensated effort. What makes it difficult is that those making them have no idea how many requests I get each week.

On the other hand I always answer single questions that do not require a complete blog exam on my part.
