Ferdy at the Movies - Battlestar Galactica: Crossroads Part 2
We watch Battlestar Galactica via iTunes, so we didn't see the season 3 finale until yesterday.
While cruising the forum on the official site, and after viewing some of the episode reviews on IMDB, I've noticed a lot of negative reaction. I think I know the problem, and I want to tell you all that I understand and feel your distress.
There's a scene between Gaius Baltar and his lawyer where the lawyer says
I hate to quote a cat metaphor
Like you, I was so horrified by the sentiment that the rest of the episode made no sense at all. Fortunately, Bruce was able to back up the video cast so I could see the second half of the episode again, and that helped.
Regardless of this despicable anti-feline sentiment, I'm still going to watch the show. Even though it takes place in a weird alternate universe where liberalism works, it still has interesting characters and moral dilemmas that help me to understand the way humans view the world.
I can forgive a deprecating remark about superior life forms if they promise not to do it too often.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat
