Web Site News - Category Index Improvements

by Ferdinand T Cat

Category indexes have always been a problem for us because of the need to balance performance with content. The more stuff we list about each article, the more time it takes to generate the page.

Bruce has spent his spare time for a few days customizing our category pages so they provide better information without the load time getting out of hand.

So, for example, in The Cat's Meow Archive and Really Deep Thoughts By Peg-Eye Nate, you see the whole epigram. In the Catblogging Archive, you can see all the pictures, most of which are of me. In normal categories like Confused Americans for Truth you can see an excerpt of each article.

We hope this makes the blog more enjoyable. Well, of course the one with lots of pictures of me is a slam-dunk, but I hope you like the other pages, too.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat
