Adventures with Bruce - Important Warning for Starbuck's Customers

by Ferdinand T Cat

Please, people, use some common sense when you're at a Starbuck's in the Chicago area.

If you see a middle-aged guy in a red sweater setting up a laptop computer, a printer, and a rat's nest of wires, do not say "Gosh, you must really be doing some important work if you have all that stuff." Bruce is developmentally disabled, and it would never occur to him that you're being snide to impress the friends hanging with you at the cafe. Instead, what's going to happen is a 30-minute lecture on drug target screening and virtual docking. Unless you think you want to hear about the latest developments in bioinformatics, just move along and find something else to laugh at. I mean, a teenage boy who was sitting at the next table is still in shock, and one of the young women in the original party gets a seizure every time they talk about DNA on one of those TV police dramas.

I swear, every time he goes out without one of the girls along it's a complete disaster.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat
