Confused Americans for Truth - Pelosi Trip May Violate Separation of Church and State
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently returned from a trip to Greenland where she saw "firsthand evidence that climate change is a reality."
It's possible that somebody took her to see a glacier that is smaller than it was several years ago. This, however, is not evidence of global warming, any more than this year's insane April freeze is evidence of a new ice age.
I hesitate to think that the Most Powerful Woman in the Free World went on her trip with her mind already made up, or that she is unable to understand the difference between anecdotal events and true evidence. There is, therefore, only one possible conclusion: Speaker Pelosi received a Divine Revelation from God.
The problem is, we live in a multi-cultural society that practices strict separation of church and state. Unless Ms. Pelosi received her divine revelation from all the gods, then she is showing an unconstitutional favoritism toward a particular religion and cannot use her divine event as the basis for legislation. (In fact, I'm sure it was not a pan-theistic event, because I wasn't invited.)
So don't be fooled by Speaker Pelosi's Greenland trip. This was not a scientific expedition: it was a transparent attempt to force a particular religion on an unsuspecting public. Maybe that sort of thing works in Pelosi's home town of San Francisco, but here in the Midwest we know better, and I'm not going to let her get away with it.
Respectfully submitted,
