Force Football - Detroit Demolition Clinches Division Title, Bruce Depressed

by Ferdinand T Cat

Saturday the Detroit Demolition defeated the Kansas City Storm, which means the Demolition has clinched the division championship. If the Chicago Force wins their next two games, they will finish with the same record as the Demolition, but they will fail the first tie-breaker criterion, which is win-loss record for the games the teams played against each other. The Demolition is the only team this season that has been able to defeat the Force, and the Force's record with them is 0-2. If the Force wins the game against the Demolition on the 30th, the record will be 1-2, which is still not enough.

This week's game, however, is against the Predators, and there is a serious change in the standard procedures. Up to this point, the after-game party has been at T's Bar. For the final two games, it will be at Hamburger Mary's. Bruce is very worried about this, because it could mean there will no longer be free pizza. I suggested that he could fix this by buying an extra pouch of Sargento's Fancy Shred Mozzarella and giving me free cheese, but apparently it's not the same. The man is very closed-minded if you ask me.

The game starts Saturday at 3pm, in Holmgren Field on the North Side. Tickets are $7, and you can pay at the gate. Bruce and Nate will be there, and if you decide to attend, please point out to them the many advantages of having a well-fed, happy cat in the house.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat

Wah! I'll be on the Soxside of town watching the Sox vs Cubs at the Cell and this does sound so interesting.
