Notes from Ferdy - The Name You're Looking for is "Socks"

A whole bunch of people from California are coming to this site to find out the name of Bill Clinton's cat. The Clinton cat was named Socks. Socks is still alive, but he is no longer with the Clintons. In 1997, as part of a long series of really questionable decisions, the Clintons obtained a dog named Buddy. Socks hated Buddy, so when the Clintons left the White House they gave Socks into the care of President Clinton's personal secretary, Betty Currie. The ostensible reason was that they could not keep Socks and Buddy in the same house without the help of the Secret Service to keep them apart. This makes no sense, however, because Bill and Hillary have trouble living in the same house, too, but they still manage.

So, if you're from California and you need to know about Bill Clinton's cat, you are now informed. I hope it helps.

Well, any people who would give up a perfectly good cat - one that they'd had in their household for six years - in favor of a new dog, definitely are not to be trusted. Even as a dog, I find that despicable.

and let's not forget that Buddy was run over by a car in 2002. so perhaps Socks got the better deal on that one.
