Confused Americans for Truth - Katie Couric Out of Control
Based on an analysis of her television ratings, I believe that Katie Couric doesn't completely suck. I think, however, I'm in a minority. I base that thought on recent reports that she slapped a co-worker for using the word sputum.
What's important about this story is not that Katie lost control: it's entirely possible, after all, that she was really being playful. No, the important thing is that somebody on the inside hates her enough to give the sputum incident to the press.
I don't understand the Katie-hatred at all. The product being delivered by the CBS Evening News is supposed to be truth. Katie is just window-dressing. The dressing is not completely irrelevant, but a new dressing on a rotten product is only going to fool the consumer for a few days at most. Katie's few days came and went ten months ago.
What CBS needs is to start delivering a good product. Instead of casting around for a new anchor, they should hire me to edit the news. Hiring me is much cheaper than replacing Katie Couric and I'm a superior life form. Even Fox News doesn't have a superior life form on its staff.
Wake up and smell the cheese, CBS. It's time to move into the Twenty-First Century.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat
