Confused Americans for Truth - Michelle Obama's Inexperience Gets Her Hammered

by Ferdinand T Cat

The Obama campaign has issued a clarification to the effect that Michelle Obama was not attacking Hillary Clinton when she talked about the important of "running your own house" if you hope to run the White House.

It's obvious that Mrs. Obama had no intention of attacking Mrs. Clinton, but when you are running against a Clinton, there are certain rules you have to follow. In particular, any statement in favor of fidelity or principle is going to be perceived as a personal attack on the Clintons. I know it seems silly, but I don't make the rules, I just try to figure them out.

This is not a problem for John Edwards, because he's campaigning against Ann Coulter. Honestly, I don't understand why he's doing this, because it seems very unlikely that Ms. Coulter will decide to run for the Democratic nomination, but Mr. Edwards has not asked for my advice, so we have to assume he doesn't know what he's doing.

But for those Democrats in the race who aren't John Edwards, the Clinton Personal Attack Rule applies: do not, under any circumstance, make fidelity or principle a part of your campaign. It's unfair, and it's just going to cause problems.

Trust me on this.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat
