Confused Americans for Truth - No Way Would Hitler Be Allowed to Speak at Columbia University
I'm sorry, but a recent statement by Columbia University Dean John H. Coatsworth that Hitler would be allowed to speak at the University is irrelevant. The Columbia University student group that prevented Minuteman Project founder Jim Gilchrist from speaking at the University threw Mr. Gilchrist off the stage on the grounds that he was an awful lot like Hitler. Although the similarities between Gilchrist and Hitler are tenuous and involve jumping to a lot of unwarranted conclusions, even people whose minds have been stunned into insensibility by years of educational silliness would have to be able to notice that Adolf Hitler himself is pretty darn Hitlerian.
By issuing an invitation to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Columbia University is giving a win-win propaganda opportunity to a guy who is completely out of touch with reality. If rambunctious students disrupt Ahmadinejad's speech, he'll have a nice photo opportunity about the corrupting influence of democracy. If they don't disrupt his speech, he'll have a nice photo opportunity about the oppressed American masses clinging to his every word. The best I'm hoping for is that we don't get a nice photo opportunity of him walking on water and healing the sick on his way back to the U.N. building.
I suppose I should be glad that I live in a country where everyone, no matter now vile his beliefs, can be invited to speak at a major university. The thing is, I would be even gladder to live in a country where major universities aren't stupid enough to give a forum to an anti-Semitic whack job.
Don't worry, though: I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it to happen.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat

I find this unforgivable by CU and their so-called president. I want to scream. Do they care how much they are damaging the democratic movements in Iran? NO. So what is so democratic about this? THEY ALL HATE BUSH. Gee, you mean to tell me I get American tax-dollars just by making up some phony courses and claiming a hatred for the country that I am willing to die for? NOT A CHANCE. Dispicable.
