Catblogging - The Other Cat Up Close

by Ferdinand T Cat

Close-up of Katy's face
I am getting a little worried about The Other Cat, who has not hit me for over a week. It used to be that I'd sit in one corner of the room and she'd sit in her chair in the opposite corner, and periodically she'd get up, walk over to me, give me a smack in the head, and then plod back to her chair. Now all she does is sleep. Mind you, I don't really know how the female cat brain works, but there are certain constants I've learned to expect even though I don't understand them. Yet, I can sniff The Other Cat's face nose-to-nose and she doesn't even hiss!

Change is not good.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat

How old is The Other Cat? After about ten, that's how they get.

She's a few months shy of 17. In cat years, that puts her around 80. It turns out she has an inflammation on her tongue. The vet gave us some medicines, and I'm hoping she'll feel better soon.
