Adventures with Bruce - Talking to Peg-Eye Nate is Dangerous

After their first trip to the family veterinarian, Boots and Lucky made a beeline for the elephant pillow and slept for four hours straight. Nate noticed that the kittens have two speeds-- blindingly fast and dead stop. This is not unusual for kittens, actually.

Here's where the smart thing would have been to leave the room. Instead, I hung around long enough for Nate to explain to me that The Gremlin, my favorite human, has this same two-speeds-only trait, and maybe I like The Gremlin because I like kittens.

I like kittens. This is a horrible realization. I'm going to have nightmares for weeks.
