Catblogging - Lucky Among the Ashes

You can't really be a part of our family unless you're a little bit bent. In Lucky's case, the bendy bit is that he likes to sit in the fireplace. It is very difficult to convince Lucky that sitting in a fireplace is a bad idea, because Lucky is absolutely fearless. When Bruce yells at him, he thinks it's fun and starts to purr. I admire his courage, but his common sense leaves a lot to be desired.

In the meantime, keep your eye on the cat behind the curtain.

One morning we got up and my wife told me that there was a cat in the fireplace.... At that time we had a fireplace insert and the doors were closed...No cat in the fireplace...but wife insisted...Low and behold a cat had jumped down the chimney and was at the bottom...The rescue was a several day episode....

We used to have a female cat, Zephyr (answered to Heifer), and one time right before we lit the fire, she jumped into the fireplace and stood on the top log.
All you could see was 4 little legs.
She was around 2 yrs. old then.

Fortunately she didn't do that again, and no it had nothing to do with her dying when she was 18 yrs. old.

Lucky is a bit "twisted"...
;-)

Current mostly Maine Coon that we have now is named Buster.
