Confused Americans for Truth - McCain Victory Shows Bipartisan Support for Bipartisanism
Apparently, the economy is the top issue in this campaign. This means that the campaign is not about issues at all. See, legislation related to the economy has a tendency to be hundreds of pages long and loaded with arcane spending plans. As a result, nobody really knows what is in these bills or whether or not they have any effect on the real world outside the beltway.
What people do know is the word bipartisan. John McCain's entire career is based on the use of this magical word. It's an expensive word, because the standard method for getting bipartisan support for a bill is to load it with earmarks. That's why this graph keeps going up no matter who is running Congress.
I think all of you should vote for McCain in the fall, because he's on the right side of the Iraq issue. But don't let him fool you into thinking he's going to be a good guy on economic issues. He's going to be bipartisan. Mr. Straight Talk and Mr. Business as Usual are the same guy, and we need to understand that.
Respectfully submitted,
