Notes from Ferdy - Our Path to November 4
Okay, so Romney's out, and McCain wants us to "join together for the good of the party".
Just so you know: I have no intention of doing any such thing. That's not what conservatives are about.
I will work for a McCain victory in November because I believe it will be in the best interests of the people of Iraq. They matter a whole hell of a lot more to me than any political party.
But I do have to tell you that I feel a certain amount of relief. Knowing that McCain is the Republican candidate, I can be fairly certain that no matter who wins in November, I'll be opposing all sorts of bad legislation for the next four years.
It makes the planning a whole lot easier.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat

Hey Ferdy:
Any chance of making the code for that banner available to the rest of us? For use with proper attribution, of course.

It is my time to write my "Dear John" to the GOP.
What the party has done for me it to free me from the illsion that this GOP or any political party holds the hop for a better world.
I refuse to become for the GOP what the blacks have beaome for the democrat party. it had destroyed their families and -though they don't recognize it yet -their dignity.

As much as I dislike McCain, the alternatives are even worse.
Take a look at this video on my site: http://thevirtuousrepublic.com/?p=265
That is the reason I have to grudgingly vote for McCain.
Whatever he is, he isn't a 1960s "I hate my country leftist".
Do I wish it were Thompson I was voting for, or even Rudy? Yup.
But I won't let a Hillary, or even worse, a Barack Hussein Obama become president.

Hope you don't mind that I "borrowed" your clever McCain button for a posting of mine. Gave you full credit with link at the end of said post.
If you do mind, email me and I will remove it promptly. Thanks.

Please feel free. I am, in fact, not surprised that other conservatives have the same depth of feeling about Senator McCain that I do.
